Welcome to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund for Australia.

When Nelson Mandela came to Australia in September 2000 to deliver the inaugural World Reconciliation address, he left behind a remarkable idea. As Chairman of the Nelson Mandela Fund, he challenged some of Australia's social and business leaders to work towards the betterment of their own young people. He has now lent his name to an Australian movement set up exclusively to raise the profile of, and boost opportunities for Australian children. While the fund's emphasis begins with assistance for underprivileged kids, its charter forbids preference by race, gender or background.
